MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 19 After the service we held the annual Elizabeth Day dinner. Once more Mrs. Adam Hohvarl and her son, James Hohvart do­nated everything toward the din­ner. We thank them for their gen­erosity. The members of the congrega­tion will be notified in the Living Church of the start of our Christ­mas services. Before Christmas, as in the past years, our carolers will visit the homes of our church members. The dates will also be in the Living Church. On November 24th, the interest­ed members of the churches which take part in our Radio Broadcast met in our hall and together we celebrated the 1st anniversary of th is service. On November 24th, during the English service we baptized Joseph Michael, son of Eugene Carson and his wife, Margaret Ann Phillips. DETROIT-ALLEN PARK The newly elected CYF officers already busy with their respective duties are Ron Silye, president, Judy Molnár, vice president, San­dy Ponto, secretary (13301 Peach, Southgate, Mich., 48192), Betty Savel, treasurer, and Cheri Nagy, historian. Assistant officers are Helen Fazekas, secretary, and Da­vid Ambrus, treasurer. Sponsors for this year are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hollis, Mr. and Mrs. Ar­thur Antel, and Mr. and Mrs. William Nagy. For the last two months most of our energy has been channeled into Christmas craft-making. Our completed decorations will be given as prizes for our annual Christmas Card Party to be held December 3. Members who gath­ered at the Antel home on October 27 went on a scavenger hunt for various materials for their crafts. Some of the decorations made were macaroni and pine cone wreaths. Christmas trees were con­structed of colorful net, and orna­ments of satin balls and sequins. In the past our card party proved to he our most successful project of the year, and judging from the cooperation of the members and parents this year, it looks as if our 1968 Card Party will he no excep­tion. DUQUESNE Our newly-organized Junior Youth Fellowship elected its of­ficers for the year 1969. President: Denise Danes, vice-president: Joni Seman, secretary: Karen Sabo, treasurer: Andrew Peclet, program chairman: Deborah Cheke. This group will also participate in caroling in the Christmas Season. Several other projects are planned for the following year. Bazárunk tiszta bevétele meghaladta az 1,300 dol­lárt. Egyháztanácsunk határozata a­­lapján tégla előcsarnokot építtet­tünk gyülekezeti termünk oldalbe­járata fölé. Vasárnapi iskolásaink és ifjú­sági énekkarunk készül a decem­ber 22-i gyertyafény-szolgálatra. Gyülekezeti énekkarunk számá­ra új énekkari ruhákat vásárol­tunk a Fellowship Circle ajándé­kaként. December 25-én, karácsony nap­ján délelőtt 9 óra 30 perckor tar­tunk magyar, 11 órakor angolnyel­vű istentiszteletet; mindkettőt úr­vacsoraosztással. December 14-én népes gyüleke­zet előtt eskettük meg egyházunk kántorát, Race Connie Lee-1 és Marhevsky Andrew Michael-t. November 6-án temettük el Gábor Györgyné testvérünket, aki az Első Magyar Református Egy­ház tagja volt. ALLIANCE, OHIO MAGYAR REFORMÁTUS EGYHÁZ Beszolgáló lelkész: Dömötör Tibor Gondnok: Máté József Templom: 836 Cambridge Street Az elmúlt hónap legkiemelke­dőbb eseménye a beszolgáló lel­kész tiszteletére rendezett ünnepi vacsora volt november 24-én délu­tán. Az ünnepi vacsorán a gyüle­kezet minden egyes tagja megje­lent. Vendégekként jelen voltak az akroni gyülekezetből Varga Ed­ward gondnok feleségével, Mező István presbiter feleségével és Nagy Imréné. Dömötör Tibor beszolgáló lelkész megható szavakkal mondott köszö­netét a gyülekezet hűségéért, sze­­retetéért és áldozatkész szolgála­táért. Máté József gondnok ismertette az elmúlt tíz esztendő munkássá­gát, mely nem nagy dolgokban, hanem a kevesen való hűségben és a ránk bízottak megtartásában mu­tatkozott meg. November 25-én eltemettük Ba­ranyai Józsefné testvérünket, aki rövid kórházi betegség után adta vissza hűséges lelkét Teremtőjé­nek. December 22-én, délután 2 óra­kor tartja a gyülekezet karácsonyi ünnepi istentiszteletét, melyen az Úr szent vacsorája is kiszolgálta­tásra kerül. Gyülekezetünk jegyzőjének, Id. Éltető Lajosnak gyermekei tanul­mányúton vannak, Ifj. Éltető Lajos és felesége a kolozsvári egyetemen, Éltető Áron pedig a budapesti egyetem orvosi karán.
