MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 11 May 29, Pentecost. The newly confirmed chlidren will participate in a corporate holy communion; parents, godparents, grandparents and relatives are asked to attend. The following children were baptized: William George Szalay, born February 4th, parents: Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Szalay; — Deborah Dawn Doatch, born January 10, parents: Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Doatch Jr.; — Gina Maria Matullo, born March 26, parents: Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Matullo. Juliuis Szászi and Miss Doris Waltrand Cox were united in marriage April 16th. The following were buried: Sándor Bálint, died March 9th; — Anthony Rosato, March 26th; — Pjc. Louis Ambrose, March 21st, in Vietnam; — John Ferenc April 4th. May God bless their memory. ROEBLING Holy Week and Easter Worship Services were well attended. On Easter Sunday 160 people praised and glorified God for the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The elements of the Lord’s Supper were received by 120 people. The holy elements were given by Mr. and Mrs. John Peter. On Palm Sunday the following young people were confirmed: Kathleen Bartha, Dennis Kimble, Maureen Molnár, Doris Nauss, and Dorlinda Varga. Our Christian Youth Fellowship was organized. Officers: president Lynda Takach, vice president Robert Gilanyi, secretary Doris Nauss, treasurer Dennis Kimble. The meetings will be held every second Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. William Nauss and Mrs. Betty Mayberry rejoined our church. We welcome them into our fellowship. Marriage: Louis Kisded, Jr. and Angela Procaccini were joined together in holy marriage. On March 23 we took part in the Community Lenten Worship Service and on Good Friday in the Community Good Friday Worship Service; on March 28 our ladies held the Inter Guild Social when Marie Shepherd presented “Songs and Art of Holy Week”; on Easter Sunday we sponsored with the Trinity Methodist Church a Concert of Sacred Music presented by the Cappella Choir of Otterbeine College, Ohio. STATEN ISLAND To commemorate our faithful church founders, the grateful descendants decided to exchange all church windows and install new stained glass windows with suitable symbols. The dedication will take place Sunday, May 22nd. There will be a United English-Hungarian worship service at 4 p.m. followed by a banquet at 6 p.m. Christian Family Week began May 1st. Mother’s Day was observed on this Sunday at the 11 a.m. united English-Hungarian services. A covered dish dinner sponsored by the Youth Fellowship followed at 12 noon. The Sunday School children presented a Mother’s Day program. Harold Zoltán Haklik, son of our member Frank Haklik died in Ohio. A granddaughter was bom to our former president Louis Kish by his daughter Dorothy Molnár Kish. YOUNGSTOWN The Lord’s blessing was with us during the Easter holidays. There were 227 communicants, or about 70% of our communicant membership. On Palm Sunday and Easter the Ladies Aid, Yolanda Circle and Men’s Club beautified the church with palms and flowers. The Style Show and Card Party held by the Yolanda Circle on April 17th was a success. Members of the Yolanda Circle and the Youth Group modeled the dresses. On March 20th we have dedicated the outside bulletin board donated in memory of Mrs. Gabriel Toth, Sr. by her family. On April the 3rd during the English service we baptized Lisa Ann, daughter of George Chepke and his wife, Patricia Ann Carpenter. Godparents: Mr. & Mrs. Rodrick Lutes. GYÜLEKEZETI ÉLET AKRON, OHIO Templom: 2625 Copley Road Telefon: 666-9777 Lelkész: Dömötör Tibor Az elmúlt hónap a lelki újjászületés hónapja volt az akroni gyülekezetben. A hosszú időn keresztül rendes lelkész nélkül levő gyülekezet uj lelkészének vezetésével magára talált és komoly munkába kezdett. Március közepe óta hetente kiadásra kerül a gyülekezeti újság, melynek neve Kegyelem és mely fontos összekötő kapoccsá vált a lelkész és a gyülekezet között. A templomlátogatás megkétszereződött a magyar és az angolnyelvü szolgálatokon egyaránt.. A húsvéti ünnepi istentiszteleteken 88 gyülekezeti tag vett úrvacsorát a magyar istentiszteleten és 85 az angolon. A húsvéti gyülekezeti bevétel 646 dollár volt. A gyülekezet anyagilag is egyenesbe jött és március és április hónapokat már maradvánnyal zárta. Akron angolnyelvü napilapja, az Akron Beacon Journal háromhasábos cikkben foglalkozott a megújult egyházi élettel. A gyülekezeti tagok önkéntes munkával szépítik uj templomuk környékét és bővítik az uj parkolóhelyet. Az ifjúsági osztály április 17-én tartott fontos ülésén szintén komoly munkára határozta el magát. A Női Osztály két uj gázlámpát adományozott az uj templom elé. Március végén templomunkból eltemettük Druga János testvérünket, a gyülekezet hűséges tagját. Az elmúlt hónapban különösen sok önkéntes munkát végeztek a gyülekezet megerősítése érdekében a következők: Mező István és felesége, Borbély József és családja, Adler Simon és fia, Asztalos Márton, Race Frank és családja, Mr. és Mrs. R. North Street Telefon: 868-6231 A húsvéti alkalmak megerősítik az utóbbi hónapok tapasztalatát, hogy a gyülekezet az erősödés utján van. Husvét napján a gyermrekkórus énekelt. Az urvacsorai jegyeket Kádár Gyula és neje adományozták. Virágvasárnap délutánján a vasárnapi iskola rendezésében húsvéti party volt egy vallásos tárgyú film bemutatásával és tojáskereséssel.
