14 MAGYAR EGYHÁZ The Detroit group. Louis Nagy, McKeesport On behalf of the McKeesport Youth Fellowship and myself I wish to thank the Perth Amboy Youth Fellowship and especially Mrs. Dudich too. The topic on Scripture was highly rewarding and causing more individual participation in the group discussions. The movie on Saturday night was a welcoming addition to our annual conference weekend. The candlelight service at Saturday night’s vespers was a unique experience and it brought forth pride in some, and tears to the eyes of others, but most important of all it gave a bit of warmth in all our hearts. Then there was the fun to round out this weekend of Christian fellowship. Will we ever forget those skits? No matter what shape they were in. Ah! Another chance to ‘Sloopy’ to the wild sound of the ‘Gremlins.’ This was a time to make new friends, and to renew old ones. But besides this growing fellowship between the youths, there were those who ate from that side dish of love for . . . God . . . Christ . . . fellow man . , . that someone special of the opposite sex. Hopefully we shall meet again in Detroit next year for our 28th Annual Bethlen Youth Conference. ★ Linda Vargo, Perth Amboy It doesn’t seem possible that another Labor Day Conference is over. To Perth Amboy, as host group, this realization is even harder. All our planning and work is finished, but the satisfaction and happiness gained in the process was well worth the effort. This 27th B.Y.F. Conference, at Camp Speers, was the largest ever, with 193 registering . . . ... To touch upon the lighter side of the Conference, I doubt if l need mention shaving cream ... I think most of us would rather forget the powerful aim of Rodney and “his Boys.” If its any consolation, Rodney got what he deserved. Upon arriving in Amboy, Rodney was “BaiT’ed and “Raid”ed. Our dance and fireside skits Sunday night were in the key of uptight, naturally . . . Monday came — much too fast for most of us. We here at Perth Amboy hope that everyone that attended left with a renewed faith and memories of true Christian fellowship experienced at camp. God bless you all — and see you in DETROIT!! McKeesport (Youth Fellowship) Several members of our Youth Fellowship attended the BYF Conference; Andrew Makatura was our acting advisor. All our members were cabin counselors.
