MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 17 Orphanage Sunday is scheduled for November 7th. The Quarterly Youth Conference tentatively planned for Sunday, November 14th will be held in our church. The Annual Thanksgiving Banquet and 40th Anniversary of the erection of our church building will be celebrated November 21 at 6:00 P.M. in our Center. ROEBL1NG As of October we shall resume our Bible Classes and Confirmation Class. There are fifteen children enrolled in these classes. In the Bible Classes they will study the Old and the New Testaments while in the Confirmation Class the subject will be the Heidelberg Catechism and the Hungarian Reformed Catechism. This means that beside the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School our children will have the opportunity to study the Bible and the tenets of our Keformed Church more carefully under the instruction of the pastor. During the month of October we are going to have religious instructions for those who recently joined our church and for those who plan to join our fellowship. Schedule of Activities: on Sundays: 8:30 a. m. Sunday School, 9:30 a. m. English Worship Service and 10:30 a. m. Hungarian Worship Service. On Thursdays: Primary Choir practice at 5:45 p. m., Junior Choir practice at 6:30 p. m. Our church bazaar will be held on Saturday, October 23 at 7:30 p. m. STATEN ISLAND Hungarian language classes were held by the Pastor during the Summer vacation for our Sunday School children. Some of them have made real progress. These classes will be continued during the school year. Members of the Youth Fellowship took part at the English service during the Pastor’s hospitalization. We welcome Frank Kosa among our active church members — back from service. World Wide Communion will be observed October 10th at both services. October 18 is the date of the ladies’ Inter-Guild Social. We hope to have large delegations from our sister churches. The Annual Bazaar was held September 25 and October 2; it included a successful Chinese Auction. TRENTON At the special congregational meeting held Sunday, August 29, the Rev. Stephen Kovács, from Akron, Ohio was unanimously elected as the Church’s new pastor. He will assume his duties in October. The officers should make their announcements in the local newspaper and every Sunday in church. Church members who have changed their addresses recently should notify the church office; also those, who do not receive Magyar Egyház, our official newspaper. The Church Council called the Rev.
