MAGYAR EGYHÁZ 13 AND AFTERWARDS THEY WROTE . . . The Duquesne Youth Fellowship would like to express their sincere thanks to the young people in Carteret, and to their leaders, for the wonderful time everyone had at the 25th B.Y.F. Conference. The spirit of the Conference was excellent and the fellowship great. Dr. Flarsanyi’s presentation of the topic was informative and enjoyable, the discussion groups were well conducted and very worthwhile. Many thanks again! Ruth Sapos, Duquesne * Friday, 4 AM — Left Detroit with 4500 lbs. of car, luggage and people. Friday, 6:30 P.M. Arrived at Camp Kittitany safely. All of our gang was very much refreshed in the way the topic “Inter- Faith Marriage” was presented. Let is be known to the adults of our churches that this in the only way we can keep, maintain, and hold our young people as good Reformed members. We need more of this type of discussion and education so as not to lose our young people to other faiths. We won’t mention the food, hard mattresses, shave-cream riots, the gay bugles, and the 4th of July celebration thatt occurred frequently. What a wonderful time we all had. Monday, 10:35 AM—Left wonderful people behind and carried wonderful memories home. Monday, 10:30 P.M. Arrived home safe and sound. Ernest & Helen Kaplar, Detroit * Greetings to all our fellow clubs from Perth Amboy. Our heartiest thanks go to the Carteret Youth Fellowship for making th 25th Annual National Conference of the Bethlen Youth Federation such a whopping success. It is truly worth remembering. The theme of “Interfaith Marriage,” presented by Rev. Dr. Harsanyi, was truly an inspiring talk to hear and to treasure. May it always stand out in our minds when the day of choosng arrives. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Rev. Cookson in his bereavement. Here’s wishing a speedy recovery to President Bob Sapos, who, when at the Conference, had a separated shoulder. Congratulations to Les Martin of Trenton with his big title — V.P. of the B.Y.F. of the H.R.C. in A. “Wasn’t that Square Dance just too much?” “And the Caller?” “Wasn’t Duquesne’s skit a complete riot?” “And how about ‘Doorbell’?” “Always remember the shaving cream riot (AHEM, COUGH COUGH) and the food (AHEM. CHOKE GLUBt.” “How about our skit — and the bucket trap — and Bill Kish’s red longies?” “Just too much, huh?” Here’s hoping Akron gives us a real bang out of 26th National Conference. Words can do no justice to the feelings, fun, and fellowship we experience with each other. So, until we meet again in Akron, bye now, God bless, and good luck to everyone on life’s way.” Rodney Matto, Perth Amboy * Trenton was proud to be represented by 43 of its youth at the Bethlen Youth Federations National Conference. Everyone attending profited in a large measure either through spiritual growth, factial knowledge, or simply through new friendships. The three highlights of our Labor Day weekend were the square dance and campfire, Saturday and Sunday nights respectfully, and the Communion service Sunday morning. The Square dance was a tremendous success with its brilliant costumes, funfilled caller creating an enjoyable atmosphere, and the wanton interest of everyone participating. Our thanks and congratulations goes out to Carteret and especially to Dr. Harsanyi who deserves much respect because of his introduction to the theme at a last moment’s notice due to an unavoidable occurence.
