YOUTH NEWS CARTERET The Carteret Youth Fellowship is now in preparation for the annual Christmas Eve Caroling trip. The members will go from house to house, spreading the Christmas to all who come within earshot. In the two years that they’ve been doing this they have found that it is a lot of fun (and a good source of income, too). During the Christmas holidays the CYF will take a trip to go ice-skating to Asbury Park, after which they will enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants. Returns from our Christmas card sale are in, and the sale proved to be quite profitable. Congratulations and thanks to Louie Medgyesi, who sold over 50 boxes! The CYF would like to thank the Staten Island club for their Christmas party. All who attended had a very good time. Carteret intends to sponsor a party in the near future. The Carteret Youth Fellowship wishes everyone in the Eastern Classis and everyone affiliated with it, the Merriest of Christmases and a Happy and successful New Year. That’s all for now . . . Nancy Keisz ★ A cinema will be the setting for services planned this winter by the youth organization of the Dutch Reformed Church in the Hague. Plans call for showing of films, jazz concerts, and talks on Biblical themes. Afterwards coffee will be served in the cinema lounge. CARTERET 138 members came to the Lord’s Table on New Wine Communion Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Nemish donated the holy elements. During the past few months 5 young refugees who had fled Hungary in 1956 were sponsored by our congregation. Our Sunday School Christmas Program will take place Sunday, December 23, 3 P.M. in Bethlen Hall. The Pastor prepared a skit for this occasion; it contains no other words than passages taken from the Scriptures. The Rev. Stephen Mrazik will be our “legátus” for the holidays. The Carteret congregations plans to observe the 60th anniversary of its foundation on Palm Sunday, 1963. All congregations are requested to set aside this date and join us in our thanksgiving. The Men’s Club will sponsor a New Year’s Eve Party in Bethlen Hall, Reservations should be made with any member of the Junior Women’s Guild or the Men’s Club. The Youth Fellowship will have their own table at this party. Baptism: Joseph Edward, son of Joseph Fischer and his wife, Judith Hrubi. DETROIT The Dorcas Guild held their Annual Christmas Party on December 11. The Golden Circle Club will hold their party on December 22. The Spaghetti Dinner given by the Youth Fellowship was very well attended. The Youths donated $125. to our new church building fund. Our Annual Congregational meeting will be held on January 20. The Annual Pork Dinner and Dance honoring the officers and church workers will be held on February 2. PERTH AMBOY The Men’s Club will sponsor a New Year’s Eve dinner dance in our auditorium. Only a limited number of tickets are available, so make your reservations early with the members. The Women’s Guild annual Christmas bazaar was very successful. Thanks and appreciation to all who helped. The congregational meeting is scheduled for the third Sunday in
