CARTERET, N. J. The Rev. August Molnár from Rutgers University and Mr. Sándor Kiss, Elder from our Bronx Church are the scheduled speakers of the 25th Annual Banquet on Nov. 1. Mr. Lester Sabo, local postmaster and member of our congregation was elected president of the Car­teret Lions Club. The Carteret Council of Churches elected Pastor Dr. Harsanyi Presi­dent of the Council for the 1959-60 term. DETROIT, MICH. The Sacrament of The Lord’s Supper will be observed in our New Wine Communion on November 1st. Communion Preparatory and Re­formation Services will be held on October 31, at 7:30 P.M. For the elements of Bread and Wine Mrs. John Szabó donated $20.00. Thank you! The newly elected officers of the Golden Circle Club are the fol­lowing: Julius Vogel president: Stephen Rákosi vice-president; Ernest Kaplar secretary; Steve Nagy treasurer. The club’s Annual Hal­loween Party will be held in the spacious recreation room at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Silye. The Harvest Festival and Dance will be held on November 7th, be­ginning at 8 P.M. A scene depicting the Old Country Grape Festival will be presented under the direction of Mrs. Velma Szabó. DUQUESNE, PA. On World Wide Communion Sun­day 245 members lived with the sacrament. Everyone of our fami­lies were visited by the members of the Church Council during the pre­vious week. The visitation is done yearly at this time for the last five years. The result of the visita­tion is very good, the number of communicants is higher at this oc­casion than at Christmas time. The Pastor is in Hungary for a short visit of relatives. This trip to the old-country is his first one since he came to America, as a student, 24 years ago. His mother, still living at the age of 86 years, is residing with his brother, who is also a minister. The fall Fellowship Dinner will be held on November 15. PERTH AMBOY, N. J. Christian Youth Fellowship meet­ing every 2nd Sunday. The Chris­tian Youth Club every first and third Thursday. Choir rehearsals every Thursday from 7:00 P.M. The Women’s Guild sponsored a “tableau”, living portrait galery of “Women of the Bible” on October 20th. Their “Interguild Social” will be held on November 17th Tuesday at 8:00 P.M. Members of other guilds are cordially invited. Our Annual Thanksgiving Day Banquet will be held on Sunday, November 22nd; please, reserve this date. Baptisms: The son of Dr. and Mrs. Julius Kesseru, — Roy Miklós; also the daugter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hegedűs—Barbara Lu. The month of October was desig­nated as Loyalty Month and every Sunday evening meetings were held in various churches with the par­ticipation of outstanding leaders of this area. The guest speakers dis­cussed the problem “The Christian Family Living in the Urban Com­munity.” The Reformation Festival was held on Sunday evening, October 25th, in our church. The Rev. Dr. Victor N. Hope, professor of Prince­ton Theological Seminary was the main speaker; other clergymen and choirs of the various churches par­ticipated. ROEBLING, N.J. The Rally Day of our Sunday School was held on October 18th, Sunday evening. Our Sunday school has four classes under Confirmation age, and an Adult Department for High School students. There are six teachers for the four classes in the pre-Confirmation section, and the Minister, assisted by one of the members, conducts the Adult Class. The Sunday School is annually expanding and we are very grate­ful to God for His abundant bless­ings through our Sunday School. Our minister has welcomed the new Methodist pastor of the Florence Methodist Church, on the recep­tion held in the said Church on October 13th. GYÜLEKEZETI ÉLET TRENTON, N. J. Az ohioi presbiteri szövetség szep­tember 27-iki gyűlésén Eigenbród József presbiterünket megválasztot­ták a szövetség pénztárnokának. Konfirmációi oktatás megkezdő­dött egyházunkban. 11 gyermek ké­szül a jövő évi pünkösdi ünnepélyes konfirmációi szertartásra. Esküvő: Ottó Elzholtz és Donna Hood léptek házasságra templo­munkban szeptember 12-én. Tanuk: Don Seeker és Janice Hood.
