there are two folios of legal inheritance ( muhallefat ) examples and prayers. 43b-46a contain prayer interpretations. The preceding risale s are entitled Hilye-i Hakanî (lb-21a), Hilye-i çehar yar-ı güzin (21b-25b) and Şerh-i havass-ı esma-yi hasna (29b-34a); the following ones are Hilye-i miirselin (46b-52b), Risale-i vücub (72b-97b), Şerh-i esmaü 'l-hasna (54a-67b) and Risale-i Dua-name-i Ebussuud (98b— 168b). 2. It is also known as Siyer-i Veysí. His real name was Üveys b. Mehmed, but the poet used the pseudonym VEYSÎ in his works. He was head secretary (divan kâtibi) during Mehmed Şerif Paşa's (d.d.u.) governorship in Egypt and became cadi of the army during Vizier Ali Paşa's (d. 1058/1648) campaign in Hungary. MEHMED V EYSÍ E FENDÍ is also well-known for his works in prose; he won fame with his rich and colorful style during his lifetime like N ERGİSÎ (d. 1043/1634). Other works by the same author: 1.
