the first part, there is a dua, a münacat and a na't. After a praising for the Prophet the story begins. The manuscript is deficient at the end. In the margins, there are supplementary notes concerning the subject. At the beginning of the manuscript and on the inner cover the passage LLJy (jA, and on the notice page/flyleaf (zahriye ), the passage LLJy j is to be read. Therefore, it was supposed that it represents the mesnevi of H AMDULLAH H AMDÍ <see N° 198>. A thorough analysis of the manuscripts proves that this hypothesis is wrong. The manuscript begins immediately with the story of Yusuf u Züleyhâ. The entire work has the style of a folktale. The headings of the stories are in Persian and framed by a line in red ink. The work is preceded by the risale entitled Kissa-i Ibrahim (la-35b). 167
