1A Lâ Work in verse by the 18

1" c. poet FAZIL (d. 1225/1810) <see N° 131>. The Hubcin-name was written by him on Rhodes (1207/1792-1793) and presented there to Ratib Efendi, who was reisiilkiittab there. The work tells about the beauties of the different nations, especially male beauties. Each page of the manuscript is numbered, beginning with 1; after the treatise (p. 13) there is a half-page under the heading Cariye-name. It is followed by two more mesnevis of the same poet, entitled Zenan-name (p. 14-59) and Berber-name (p. 60-64). In the following part (p. 65-70 and [23] unnumbered fols.) there are various writings, calculations and many empty pages.
