Part of a larger collection. The par-byang was composed by the 7 t h Dalai Lama, Blo-bzang-skal-bzang-rgya-mtsho (1708-1757), at the request of Thushe-ye-thu Dar-rgan Nang-so Ye-shes-skal-bzang. This edition goes back to an earlier one, which was printed for the sake of the salvation of the deceased Tshe-ring-bkra-shis with the financial support of a ruler (gnam-bskos) named Bstan-'dzin-lha-dbang-chos-rgyal.
