I, 3a; text width: 37.7) cm, Chinese paper pasted of several layers, now brownish, cover corrected with strips of modern Chinese paper (of packs of tobacco or tea? with gold, yellow and green printed Chinese characters and a figure of bird sitting on a pine); Mongol pagination separate for each chapter (rectos, left margin beyond the side-lines); text between thin red double side-lines, text in frame at chapter heads (I, la, the preface, I, За, II, la, etc., except chapter III; frame size on f. VIII, la: 37.2 : 7.8 cm; the actual recto before chapter head is left blank); colourless ruling; two small holes on the two sides where the scribe fixed the leaf to be inscribed; Mongolian text made up below the Tibetan dbu-can lines, 2 on each page; calamus calligraphy, black ink; pre-classical orthography.
