This note presumably only refers to prints 9-10. The photographs relate to Stein's survey of the Gaggar River down to the Indus in late 1942 and early 1943. In the course of this he visited the small state of Las Bela to trace Alexander the Great's route towards Gedrosia, before returning to Peshawar in March 1943. 1. Sacred pool at Hinglaj, Las Bela, c. Stein Photo 43/7 Kagan and Thor photographs, 1942 88 quarter-plate prints in paper sleeve, inscribed in Stein's hand: 'Th'or glass negative prints,' 'Photo prints of Kagan and Thor arranged in sets,' 'Letters prints' and 'Las Bela.'
