Stein Photo 11 2 n d Central Asian Expedition, 1906-1908 Collection of 220 prints mounted on card with instructions to blockmaker regarding cropping, retouching and other improvements required for publication. The material comprises an incomplete set of illustration proofs for Serindia (1921). The prints are laid down on card mounts of two different sizes and the collection is stored according to mount size: prints on the larger size mounts are designated with an 'L' beside the Stein negative number in square brackets. A number of the prints missing from this set of proofs can be found in the Royal Asiatic Society, London. Prints are listed here according to the plate numbers in Serindia.
