r Duka I return by this post the reviews you were kind enough to let me see. They are all very interesting but the Pioneer is the best and most to the point. It must be a source of great satisfaction to you to have done so good a work about so good a man as dear Csoma. I have him present to my sound and to my eye, and love to look back to day which alas! shall never return. It was always with the greatest pleasure I crossed over from Bishop's College to the Asiatic Society for my Tibetan lesson. He used to make me pronounced every letter, to the astonishment of Jaeschke, who spoke another dialect, from another district of Tibet. Believe me yours sincerely S. C. Malan
