Tarbay János Gábor: Késő bronzkori depó Oltárc–Márki hegyről (Zala m.) Őskori manipulációk, szelektív és recens törések vizsgálata

The Late Bronze Age Hoard from Oltáré Márki Hill 75 slightly curved, H-shaped cross section becomes more rectangular towards the edge. There are two wings which curve towards each other, but their ends do not touch. The interface of the axe is emphasized. The blade is slightly widens towards the flat edge. Traces of hammering were identified between the wings. Small blow mark indentations in horizontal position were observed along the narrow sides of the wings. Length: 9.6 cm; Width across the wings: 2.6 cm; Width across the blade: 2.7 cm. 5.2. Dagger: A flanged dagger with triangularshaped blade. The terminal of the flange is slightly fragmented. The shoulders of the flange are knee- formed. One rivet hole is situated at the end of the flange and two in the middle of the shoulders. The rhomboid-sectioned blade is hammered along the edges. Moreover its surface is carefully polished. Hammer traces can also be identified on the surface of the hilt. It was possible to document fine sharpening traces along the object’s edges by microscope camera. Length: 21.1 cm; Terminal width: 2-2.1 cm; Shoulder width: 3.2 cm; Maximum blade width: 2.6 cm. 6. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle in three recent fragments with spur, two decorated tang ribs, and a concave handle base. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. The blade is hammered and it shows abrasion. Sharpening traces were identified along the edges by microscope camera. Before restoration, mud imprint of a sickle was documented on the reverse side of the object. Diameter: 17.7x9.2 cm; Maximum blade width: 3.1 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.4 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.3 cm; Weight: 97 g (fig. 6, 6). 7. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle in two recent fragments with spur and straight tang base. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. Decorated oblique and parallel inner ribs can be seen along the blade. Three decorated straight and one horizontal rib can be found in the tang. The edge is sharpened and it shows traces of abrasion. Diameter: 16.4x11 cm; Maximum blade width: 3 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.5 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.2 cm; Weight: 142 g (fig. 7, 7). 8. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle with spur, straight tang base and two incised tang ribs. The ribs of the tang are connected with a V-shaped rib in upside down position. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. The surface of the blade is hammered, its edge shows abrasion and traces of sharpening. Before restoration, mud imprint of a sickle was documented on the reverse side of the object. Diameter: 17.9x13 cm; Maximum blade width: 3.4 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.4 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.3 cm; Weight: 138 g (fig. 7, 8). 9. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle with spur, three decorated tang ribs and straight base. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. The edge is extremely narrow and shows intensive traces of abrasion. By microscope camera it was also possible to document some sharpening traces along the edge. The blow mark on the reverse side of the object is recent. Before restoration, mud imprint of a sickle was documented on the object’s reverse side. Diameter: 18.8x11 cm; Maximum blade width: 3 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.2 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.4 cm; Weight: 111 g (fig. 7, 9). 10. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle with spur, decorated ribs and straight base. The inner tang ribs are connected in an arch at the height of the spur. The other tang rib curves into the blade. Both of them are decorated with incisions. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. The dorsal rib shows abrasion near to the tip. The edge is narrow and shows traces of sharpening. Diameter: 19.4x10.9 cm; Maximum blade width: 3.2 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.4 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.3 cm; Weight: 120 g (fig. 8, 10). 11. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle with spur, undecorated ribs and straight base. An Y-shaped rib in upside down position can be found on the tang. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. Before restoration, mud imprint of a sickle was documented on the reverse side of the object. The blade is hammered and shows traces of sharpening. Diameter: 19x10.3 cm; Maximum blade width: 3.8 cm; Thickness of the flange: 0.4 cm; Thickness of the blade: 0.4 cm; Weight: 169 g (fig. 8, 11). 12. Flanged sickle: Flanged sickle with spur, incised plastic ribs and straight handle base. The tang is decorated with an Y-shaped rib in upside down position. A casting plug was preserved on the back of the blade. Traces of hammering was identified on the blade’s surface. The edge is sharpened. Before restoration, mud imprint of a sickle was documented
