Ács Anna: Móricz Zsigmond országjárásának veszprémi és balatonkenesei állomásai

VESZPRÉM AND BALATONKENESE, AS TWO STATIONS IN ZSIGMOND MÓRICZ 'S TOURINGS The essay bares the story of Zsigmond Móricz 's two journeys to Veszprém and one to Balatonkenese, and it also analyses the journalistic effect of the travels. These visits are less known or not known at all in the Móricz biography, and the local literary researches contain many inaccuracies as well. During the exploration work, the circumstances of his journey to Veszprém in 1919 and 1940 have been revealed together with his visit to Balatonkenese in 1940, and also the articles by Móricz preserving the memories of these visits. The periodical called Kelet Népe, which is Móricz's property and he is the general editor of it as well, published two of his writings, 'The people want to learn' and 'Bath at Lake Balaton', and one of his glosses written in Balatonkenese, 'Lake Balaton'. Although his articles written in Veszprém and Balatonkenese have subject matters connected to local happenings, by Móricz's unique literary and journalistic methods, and by his talent, the articles have become valid generally, they bring a serious message of social policy, so they deserve an honoured place in Móricz's life-work. 294
