Tóth László: A Bakony hegység lágytestűbogár- (Col. Malacodermata-)faunájának alapvetése

Mts. is of special importance for as far as is known it is the north-westernmost locality of its distribution in Europe. Dasytes oertzeni SCHILSKY. In the collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum, this species was know only from the following localities: Debrecen, Siófok, Somogyapáti, Pécs, Fiume, Plattensee and Balatonalmádi. The last locality is the most recent one and the specimen originating from it is deposited in the Bakony Natural History Museum, Zirc (leg. J. PAPP, 20. VII. 1967). Its area of distribution is obviously Mediterranean, but its extent is by far not yet known. It is quite probable that owing to its thermophilus, photophilous nature it moved up during the warmer periods of the postglacial timen from south-east. As far as it is knowm, the northernmost point of its distribution is in the Hungarian Central Mountains (Matricum), and even here only on the sub Mediterranean, south-side of Lake Balaton at Balatonalmádi. Hylocoetus dermestoides L. Its larva is xylophagous, commonly known as a pest in forests. It mainly occurs in deciduous trees, but have been found in conifers and in stored timber, too. In the old literature only one datum was known from 1896 reported by KUTHY (Keszthelyi Mts.: Feketehegy). Its second occurrence in the Bakony Mts. from Porva: Hódos-ér-völgy (leg. L. TÓTH, 17. V. 1965) is useful confirmation of the former. Besides its faunistical interest, the occurrence of this species in the Bakony Mts. may draw the attention of foresters early enough to be precautious in case a mass multiplication of this serious pest takes place.
