Dr. Tóth Sándor: A Bakony természeti képe, III. Beszámoló a Bakony természettudományi kutatásáról, 1968–1971

THE „NATURE LANDSCAPE OF THE BAKONY MTS." III. REPORT ON THE RESEARCH PROGRAMME OF NATURAL SCIENCES BETWEEN 1968 AND 1971 The research programme between 1968 and 1971 may be characterized as active proceeding within its already accepted bounds. The Bakonv research is getting recognized in an ever-widening circle in our country and in the past few years in other countries, too, especially through the exchange of special literature. Noteworthy results have been achieved both in the fields of increasing the collections and publication of studies in natural sciences. Another important event took place recently and that was the establishment of the Bakony Natural History Museum at Zirc. Our primary aim is to continue this research programme, in certain fields we would even like to enlarge it. This is guaranteed first and foremost by the Museum Directorate and Municipal Council of the Veszprém County and, of course, by an enthusiastic group of research specialists. It is indeed good to learn that the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest also shows increasing interest in our programme as does the Principal Department of the Museums in the Ministry of Culture. Finally, I would like to express our most sincere thanks on behalf of both the Museum Directorate of the Veszprém County and the Bakony Natural History Museum, Zirc to all the participants for their indefatigable work exerted during the past years. Here, I would like to take the opportunity to ask them all to continue work with the same zeal they have shown this far. Sándor Tóth
