Összefoglalás

SUMMARY The investigation of the four sites of the Szentgál region (Szentgál-Füzi-kút, Szentgál-Teleki-dűlő, Ajka, Városlőd) offered a possibility for the comparative analysis of the ceramic material of a settlement group of the late Lengyel culture and also the description of the characteristics of the late Lengyel ceramics in Transdanubia. The ceramics of Kaposvár-Gyertyános helped in the interpretation of the similarities and the divergences. The ceramic material of the site group is homogenous especially regarding the vessel shapes. There are minor divergences in the application of ornaments, which, apart from a few statistic errors, consequently indicate a chronologically determined trend. The uniform ceramic material shows a community with close contacts, which gradually developed a settlement ring around Tűzköves hill with Szentgál-Teleki-dűlő as the starting point. The stone material uncovered at the sites of the workshop zone implies intensive stone processing. The distribution of the sites, the composition of the stone material and their even dispersion within the settlements lets us conclude that the function of the villages can be described as a partial, territorial and communal specialisation. Tűzköves hill played a decisive role in the Neolithic settlement structure of the region. The increasing intensity of stone extraction reached its peak in the late Lengyel period. Mining and the intensity of stone processing and distribution left their imprints on the appearance of the settlements and conserved the social structure with securing a long-term stability in the fields of behaviour patterns and contact systems. 95
