A minitextil (tárgy) nem egyszerűen az ötleten alapszik. A minitextilt inkább a packet-mail-arthoz lehetne sorolni. Postai objekt. Megtestesült gondolatüzenet. Elküldése egyszerű, közlendője többnyire tömör. Alkotóiknak mondanivalójuk van. Ebben az évben is, mint általában, a beérkezett művek száma meghaladta a félezret. Többségükben még a textil ,,anyagmámorában", készültek, az indítékok még a szokásos formákat szuggerálják; a dekoratívtól, az érzelmestől, festőitől, a geometriaitól, a plasztikustól, az egyszerű „széptől" egészen az olyanokig, ahol az anyag csak eszköz, az eszme a domináns, az információ bennük „sürgős" és „fontos". Sok kis csomag érkezik a világ minden tájáról. E postai küldemények „zsákbamacskák". Általában szöveg nélküli, mégis vizuálisan miniatürizált kódok. Méretük szerint 15x15x15 vagy max. 20x20x20 cm. Elküldésük nem kockázatos és nem is nagyon drága. Anyaguk puha, így nem TÖRÉKENY! Raktározásuk nem okoz országos raktározási gondot. Egy-egy ilyen tárgyat néha egymásnak is küldünk, és mivel méretüknél fogva egy tenyérben is elférnek, tapintatos pici „ajándéknak" is felfoghatók. Egy-egy ilyen csere egyben eszmecsere, mint ahogy egy-egy ilyen kiállítás sok információt ad, megtudható belőle, hogy az újra és újra visszatérő sok nemzetbeli résztvevő mivel foglalkozik gondolatban. MINITEXTIL 1984 Szenes Zsuzsa Mini textiles (objects) are not based simply on fancy. Mini textiles could rather be classified as packet-mail-art. Postal objects. Embodied thought-messages. Posting them is easy, their message is mainly condensed. Their creators have got something to say. This year, as usual, the number of works received exceeded five thousand. Their majority was made by artists still "intoxicated" by textile, the motifs suggest the usual forms ranging from the decorative, emotional, painterly, plastic or simply "nice" to pieces whose material is but a means, it is the idea that dominates; the information involved is "urgent" and "important". Many small parcels arrive from all over the world. These parcels are "pigs in a poke". They are usually unworded yet visually miniaturized codes. They are 15x15x15 or, at most, 20x20x20 cm in size. Posting them is not risky or too expensive. The material is soft, so it cannot be FRAGILE! Storing them will not cause national storage problems. We sometimes send each other objects like these too, and as you can hold them in your palm, they can be considered asdelicate tiny "presents". An exchange like this is, at the same time, an interchange of ideas, just like an exhibition of this kind offers you a lot of information letting you know what the ever returning participants of several nations are engaged in spiritually.
