74 Phylum Annelida close to the locus typicus. This suggests that the Г. riparia is endemic to the Carpathian Basin. It occurs in the hypocrenal zone of the surface water, and its biology is practically unknown. Further collections have been made from the Kerca near Kercaszomor and from the Nagy-rét Brook at Szentgyörgyvölgy. Occurrences in the Rába were mentioning are G. complanata, Hemi-clepsis marginata, Piscicola haranti, C. fadajewi, Erpobdella nigricollis, T. cylin­drica and Dina punctata punctata.
