This book provides a comprehensive and historical survey of zoological literature of Western Hungary, covering all the research carried out in the region in the last 400 years. The field work on Sarcomastigophora, Ciliophora, Platyhelminthes, Nematoda, Rotatoria, Acanthocephala, Mollusca, Annelida, Tardigrada, Arthropoda, Tentaculata and Vertebrata is evaluated historically and taxonomically, with special reference to rare and endangered taxa.
