Kontschán, Jenő: Data to the Uropodina (Acari: Mesostigmata) fanua of Őrség (Western Hungary)
PRAENORICA FOLIA HISTORICO-NATURALIA VIII 2005 DATA TO THE UROPODINA (ACARI: MESOSTIGMATA) FAUNA OF ŐRSÉG (WESTERN HUNGARY) KONTSCHÁN, Jenő ' Data to the Uropodina (Acari: Mesostigmata) fauna of Őrség (WesternHungary) — Thirteen Uropodina species were listed from the area of Őrség. Two of them (Trachytes minima and Uropoda orszaghi) are new to the fauna of Hungary. With 3 figures. INTRODUCTION The Uropodina fauna of Őrség is absolutely unknown. Faunsitical researches about these mites were published only from Hortobágy National Park (HIRSCHMANN 1981), Bátorliget Nature Reserve (HIRSCHMANN 1990), Bükk National Park (WISNIEWSKI 1996), Fertő-Hanság National Park (KONTSCHAN 2002a), KomáromEsztergom county (KONTSCHÁN 2002b) and Aggtelek National Park (KONTSCHÁN 2003). According to the results of these faunistical researches now 80 Uropodina species are known from Hungary (KONTSCHÁN 2003). MATERIAL AND METHODS The Pedozoological Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum has a lot of soil samples from the area of Őrség, the all mites from this material were identified. The materials were collected by SÁNDOR MAHUNKA and LUJZA MAHUNKAPAPP. The specimens are deposited in alcohol in the Pedozoological Collection of the Hungarian Natural History Museum. The system and the names of the species are according to WISNIEWSKI (1993).
