VÍG, К.: Leaf beetle collection of Attila Podlussány (Coleoptera, Chrysomelidae) Bordy, 1995, whose previous known distribution had been France, Austria, Poland and Slovakia. Its distribution in Hungary may be similar to that of the species Cassida vibex Linnaeus, 1767. These can be distinguished by examining the chitinized parts of aedeagus and spermatheca. The following species also call for more detailed presentation. For a long time, only the three type specimens of Chrysolina eurina (Frivaldszky, 1883) were known from the territory of this country. A description of it was published in 1883 by János FRIVALDSZKY in the "Természetrajzi Füzetek", based on specimens collected in 1878 by Ede MERKL in the Bihar Hills (now Romania). Apart from these Transsylvanián specimens, all the other specimens known come from the gallery forest of the Danube floodplain below Vienna. So it caused a faunistic sensation when two specimens were identified from Őrség as well (VIG and ROZNER 1996) and then a further one was found in the Duna-Dráva National Park (VlG 1998£). Aphthona atrovirens (Förster, 1849) is extremely rare in the territory of this country. So far it is known only from the Buda Hills and from near Gyenesdiás. Similarly rare is Aphthona franzi Heikertinger, 1944, of which a few data are known from Hungary and Transsylvania. The distribution of the species Chaetocnema procerula (Rosenhauer, 1856) was previously known only from a written mention. Some other species deserve mentioning for their scarcity in this country: Cryptocephalus decemmaculatus (Linnaeus, 1758); Cryptocephalus frontalis Marsham, 1802; Cryptocephalus gridellii Burlini, 1950; Cryptocephalus pini Linnaeus, 1758; Cryptocephalus quinquepunctatus (Scopoli, 1763); Phyllotreta balcanica Heikertinger, 1909; Phyllotreta tetrastigma (Comolli, 1837); Longitarsus cerinthes (Schrank, 1798); Longitarsus gracilis (Kutschera, 1864); Longitarsus monticola Kutschera, 1863; Neocrepidodera femorata (Gyllenhal, 1813); Chaetocnema schejfleri (Kutschera, 1864); Chaetocnema subcoerulea (Kutschera, 1864); Apteropeda orbiculata (Marsham, 1802); Psylliodes illyricus Leonardi et Graev, 1993 and Cassida vittata Villers, 1798. Looking at the fauna of Macedonia, Psylliodes brisouti Bedel, 1898 and Longitarsus albineus (Foudras, 1860) proved to be a new species, as Mantura rustica (Linnaeus, 1767) and Longitarsus rectilineatus (Foudras, 1860) new to the fauna of Greece. A very scarce species from Bulgaria and Northern Greece is Psylliodes magnificus Gruev, 1975 of which less than ten specimens are known. PRESENTATION OF DATA This publication contains the data for specimens in the collection from North, Middle and Southeastern Europe (excluding Turkey) and the territory of the former Soviet Union. After the full name of the species or subspecies and the author who described it come the collection data for the specimens. The name of the country is followed by the main administrative unit in bold italics. For instance, this is the county in Hungary and Romania, the okres in Slovakia, and the district or mountain range in the case of Bulgaria; the province in the case of Yugoslavia; Greece is divided into Northern Greece, Central Greece, Peloponnisos and Crete. The main region follows in italics. For the division into districts of the Balkan Peninsula, the author has followed the paper that of GRUEV (1992). 8
