Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Widely distributed in the Carpathi­ans, its food plants are various Cirsium and Carduus species. Only one single speci­men is known from the recent territory of Hungary (Kőszeg Mts., Western Hungary). General distribution: Carpathians, mountains of Transsylvania. Fig. 17.
