Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: Widely distributed in the Carpathians, its food plants are various Cirsium and Carduus species. Only one single specimen is known from the recent territory of Hungary (Kőszeg Mts., Western Hungary). General distribution: Carpathians, mountains of Transsylvania. Fig. 17.
