Distribution in the Carpathian Basin: According to the most recent Euro­pean revision (KIPPENBERG and DÖBERL 1994) only this subspecies of the С hemi­sphaerica complex occurs in the Carpathians and its basin. It was reported from the territory of the Bükk National Park as С purpurascens Bechyné (TOMOV et al. 1996).
