Tibor Sabján: Flues in the houses of the Age of Árpád The author described some new archeological findings in connection with the pit houses of the Age of Árpád (896-1301). Special attention is paid to the findings of flues and funnels. There are basically two types of flues indentified by the archeologists: one was connected to the fireplace, and most likely played the same role as in the chimneys of baking and cooking ovens of later times. The other flue was placed opposite the fireplace, and it was larger and longer than the previous one.
