Jolán Jósa

(1881-1950)

Writer, journalist Jolán Jósa (1881-1950) have got little attention from local historians of literature. This many-sided woman who had romantic life story, worked as journalist and fellow worker for several newspapers (Nyírvidék, A Hónap, Néplap). She also started an independent own weekly (Nyírség). She wrote youth and family novels (commemorating her father, a well-known physician and archaeologist), several popular radio plays. The author represents some connecting pieces of the mosaic of her life and work.
