Körmendi Galéria Budapest sorozat. Körmendi Galéria, Budapest 2002. MATITS Ferenc H-1014 Budapest Móra Ferenc u.l. Recollection by Dániel Reinhold painter Dániel Reinhold painter learned in the People's Academy of Nyíregyháza from the autumn of 1946 to the spring of 1949. He continued his studies in arts in the High School of Fine Arts in Budapest and got his diploma in 1954. He moved back to Nyíregyháza together with his wife and soon started teaching in Nagykálló. In 1961, Dániel Reinhold and his family moved to Miháld in Zala county where he also worked as teacher. His paintings could be seen in several exhibitions. The artist wrote his recollections of the years spent at the People's Academy of Nyíregyháza on Albert Soltész painter's request. This is the publication of his recollections from a distance of thirty years. A short introduction precedes the publication completed with a selection from the memoirs of the teachers and the students of the People's Academy of Nyíregyháza. They contain different lists but most of the artists who continued their studies in the High School of Fine Arts in Budapest are generally present in the lists of the artists of the People's Academy. The teachers and the professors of the High School examined the works of the students of the People's Academy in Nyíregyháza, and then invited a few of them to continue training. The success and high standard of the People's Academy of Nyíregyháza is proved by the fact that many students were admitted in the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest. Most of the artists who had come from Nyíregyháza and finished studies in Budapest never returned in Nyíregyháza but remained in the capital or in other country towns and many of them gained a national and even an international recognition.
