Ornithological study of the Kesznyéten Region of Environmental Protection The author of the article examined the avifauna of the Kesznyéten Region of Enviromental Protection situated in the triangle between Tiszadob-TiszalucKesznyéten. His aim was to make conclusions on the natural values of the territory and on the tasks of its maintenance. In the course of this study it could be assumed that the avifauna of the region is rich in species and individuals, the nidatories are represented by 70 species. Birds make groups well distinguished by inhabitation places, that from a mosaic inside the Region. From the point of view of migration of birds the territory is not outstanding. It does not attract large masses of birds, but is used as a transit accomodation for predatories migrating alone. Anthropogene perturbations as draining, pastorage, mowing, hunting etc., have consequences of different scale. From the point of view of maintenance, the most difficult problem is the lack of water, for the resolving of which the author made a proposal that could be easily realized. Harmful human impacts can be avoided, decreased, so the preservation, maintenance and even the biodiversity of the territory can be reached by the proper handling.
