Agriculture and protocol - Decorations of Pál Losonczi in the mirror of the press DÉNES KOMISZÁR A collection of orders and decorations of the size similar to that of Pál Losonczi was owned only by János Kádár, but after the death of the General Secretary of the Party his decorations, badges, guns etc. were sold at auctions. (We can only hope that at least the decorations are "hidden" among the pieces of national collectors and soon or later a museum or a gallery can buy them). The collection of the decorations of Pál Losonczi is smaller in size than that of Árpád Göncz, who donated his "preys" on a lasting deposit to the Medal Cabinet of the National Museum, but from the viewpoint of political history these are the pieces very colourful and in low number of the documents of a bygone time - socialism. We are confident that the collection of Pál Losonczi can be presented as soon as possible to the general public as well, in the framework of a permanent exhibition worthy of the collection. Acknowledge-ment is due to Pál Losonczi - even after his death -, for having made his decorations avail-able to the "public".
