Gallina Zsolt – Somogyi Krisztina: Előzetes jelentés a Kaposvár – 61-es elkerülő út 36. számú lelőhelyén 2002-ben végzett megelőző feltárásról

183 Preliminary report on the preceding excavation of site number 36. of Route 61. ZSOLT GALLINA — KRISZTINA SOMOGYI The site is situated between Kaposvár and Taszár on a flat hilly back rising from the flood area of the Kapos. We have already conducted excavations on the area in 2001 (SOMOGYI 2002, 37-^0). The site continued on the N.-ern side of the Route 61. in 2002, in connection with the construction of the roundabout. (Pic.1.) We unearthed 688 objects on 14950 m 2 from 4 archaeological ages (Mid-Bronze Age: Lime-incrusted Pottery, Late-Bronze Age: Late Moundgraves-Early Urnfield Period, Roman, and Árpád-Age). The most significant was the Late-Bronze Age settlement, where we could find the remains of pile structured houses. Four urns, as well as a bronze treasure also belong to this settlement. (Pic.3.) The treasure contained 24 undecorated, dotted and grooved bracelets with pointed endings (Pic.4.), 4 tassel edges (Pic. 5.) together with spirals and sheets. According to the tassel edges the treasure belongs to the Kurd-type hoards (MOZSOLICS 1985, 73, Taf.24., 8—13., Taf. 227.), and can be dated to the 12—11. С. ВС. During our studies we search the answer to the question, whether a continuous development can be traced between the Mound-grave and Urnfield periods, as there are similar examples in the Transdanubian region (e.g. Balatonmagyaród-Hídvégpuszta, Németbánya, SZABÓ 2003, 164.).
