Nógrádi Sára – Uherkovich Ákos: A Mura és Kerka vízrendszerének tegzesei (Trichoptera)
On the caddisflies (Trichoptera) from the catchment area of the rivers Mura and Kerka, Southwest Hungary SARA NOGRADI - AKOS UHERKOVICH NÓGRÁDI, S. ( UHERKOVICH, Á: On the caddisflies (Trichoptera) from the catchment area of the rivers Mura and Kerka, Southwest Hungary. Abstract. 113 caddisfly species were collected on the area between the year 1976 and 1999. Several species were collected here first (Limnephilus elegáns Curt., Platyphylax frauenfeldi Brau., Hydroptila tineoides Dal man, Agapetus delicatulus McL, Glossosoma boltoni Curt, etc.), some of them occur excludingly here in Hungary recently. The richest collecting site could be found on this catchment area, at Magyarszombatfa, where exactly 100 species had been collected. Introduction The catchment area speads over the southern part of county Zala having a relative dense water course network. These water courses are unpolluted or a less polluted in most parts. Earlier no caddisfly data were known from this area (NÓGRÁDI 1989, 1995). In the second half of the seventies a light trap had been set at Magyarszombatfa to examine the Lepidoptera fauna of the southern Őrség region. The results were published by UHERKOVICH (1980,1983). From the insect matrial of this trap members of some other insect groups were selected for elaboration. Among these, few hundreds of caddisflies were handed over to Dr. S. Újhelyi between 1977 and 1979, who determined these insects, later he published the most important results in two papers (ÚJHELYI 1982a, 1982b). Around the end of the year 1982 we restarted trapping to examine the caddisfly fauna in their details, the results were published in a paper (UHERKOVICH, NÓGRÁDI 1992). Later we got further caddisfly material from an another trap functioned at Szentpéterfölde, со. Zala, from which the larger moths were published earlier (UHERKOVICH 1982). In the eighties and mostly in nineties we visited the area time by time, and we collected by hand at daytime as well as on light, mostly along the river Kerka and Mura. Several thousand caddisfly adults were taken also by this way. These materials have not been published yet in details, but summarized data were given by ourselves in a compendium (UHERKOVICH, NÓGRÁDI 1998). Finally we knew caddisflies from 32 sites of this area (Fig. 1, Table 1). List of collected material In this chapter we listed all species collected ever in the area. The data which have already been published are given by their source, while in other cases the locality, Fig. 1: The location of the studied area on the UTM grid map of Hungary. date, specimens and collectors' name is given. The collectors' name is abbreviated (AA = Ambrus András, HM = Malicky, Hans, N = Nógrádi Sára, U = Uherkovich Ákos, It = fénycsapda). The nomenclature and system of BOTOSANEANU and MALICKY (1978) is applied, taking into consideration MALICKY's (1983) some changes.
