Dezső Piller, a local historian and his students collected the finds of the Zamárdi cemetery. In many cases they were not successful in collecting all the finds, sometimes the articles were mixed, however Dezső Piller recorded the position of the graves and besides a few documented graves (fig. 1-3), prepared a rough cemetery map as well. (pi. III.) The parallels of many of the objects of the Zamárdi cemetery can be found in the graves dated to the second half of the 4. In the case of the objects of Zamárdi we find many examples of already demaged articles being buried, which is due to a longer use. Some objects occurring in the cemetery - e.g. smoothened vessels, pots, bone combs, spindle buttons, late peroid onion headed fibulas date the burials to the end of the 4. and the beginning of the 5.
