ANALYSES - POTTERY - György SZAKMÁNY: Insight into the manufacturing technology and the workshops: evidence from petrographie study of ancient ceramics

2) The qualitative and quantitative studies of the clasts derived from the temper indicate the geological environment from which this raw material came from. Furthermore, careful microscopic studies provide a unique possibility for distinguishing between ceramics that were found at the same locality but had been made in different workshops. 3) The results of structural and textural observations of ancient ceramics primarily contribute to the reconstruction of ancient manufacturing technologies.
