The separation of the two work­shops with the help of neutron activation analysis is an accomplishment of great importance considering that they were working at the same time, at a small distance from each other geographycally, and producing potteries of the same type and technique (Fig. 5). After the analytical definition of the workshops we analysed the 19 pots found in the Avar cemetery by the Szekszárd-Bogyiszló road and attempted to answer the question by similarity analysis whether the sherds found in the graves were produced in the work­shops of the village or not. The studies definitely showed that the dead lying in the cemetery were the inhabitants of the settlement, most of the ceramics found in the cemetery were from the workshops of the settlement. Only with regard to pots from graves Nos. 353 and 139 can it be stated with complete certainty that they were not produced in these manufactures .
