Data to the reptilian fauna (Reptilia) of the Szársomlyó Hill, Villány Hills, South Hungary József MAJER The snake and lizard (Reptilia) fauna of Szársomlyó Hill (Villány Hills, South Hungary) near Nagyharsány were studied. Altogether eight species of these groups were recorded, they are listed in the Hungarian text. The Large whip snake (Coluber jugularis caspius) and the Common wall lizard (Podarcis muralis) populations were investigated, including their spatial distribution. 157 specimens of Common wall lizard were captured, after measuring their weight and length, each of them were individually marked and were released. The Sand lizard (Lacerta agilis) occurred in the dense grass area, most of them were hybrids with the Green lizard (Lacerta viridis). Beside the Large whip snake we revealed the presence of the Grass snake (Natrix natrix) and the Aesculapian snake (Elaphe longissima) as well. Author's address: József MAJER, Ph.D., Dr. hab.
