HORVATOVICH S.: A VILLÁNYI-HEGYSÉG FUTÓBOGARAI (COLEOPTERA: CARABIDAE) The carabid beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) of the Villány Hills, South Hungary II. Sándor HORVATOVICH In the Villány Hills I have found altogether 182 carabid species, of which 83 proved to be new to this area. The following species are rare in Hungary: Amara sollicita, Brachinus psophia, Cymindis lineata, Harpalus roubali, Lebia scapularis, Microlestes fissuralis, Microlestes schroederi, Ophonus cribricollis, Ophonus nitidulus, Ophonus schaubergerianus, Ophonus subquadratus, Pachyophonus mendax, Osimus ammophilus, Trechus obtusus. The next main ecological groups vere established: 1. Xerophilous species (33 species). 2. Xerophilous and simultaneously humidophilous species (10 species). 3. Atlantic species (only Trechus obtusus). 4. Common inhabitants of forests in Hungary (19 species) 5. Hygrophilous species occurring on or in permanently wet soils. 6.
