ABRAHAM, L.: STUDIES ON THE NEUROPTEROID FAUNA OF THE DUNA-DRÁVA NATIONAL PARK, П. 279 resting period of pupae and on hybridisation (THIERRY, ADAMS 1992). The many - sided and extensive research, the new ways of speciation discovered, the sympatric formation of new species (MAYR 1963) resulted in accepting the species from the end of the '70 as a nonhomogenous form; in North America they separated it into Chrysoperla plorabunda and Chrysoperla downesi. The study of morphological differences between Chrysoperla carnea and Chrysoperla mediterranea was completed in Europe at an earlier time (HÖLZEL 1972). Then LERAUT (1991) dealt with it again showing the differences between the earlier separated Chrysoperla lucasina (Lacroix, 1912) and Chrysoperla renoni (Lacroix, 1933), which was, however, not generally accepted by the leading European neuropterologists. It seems now that, as a result of a co-operative research work, it became more and more accepted that Chrysoperla carnea is a sibling species whose name "covers" at least four distinct species in Europe. Chrysoperla carnea lives in West Europe; in most parts of Europe - so also in Hungary - the species Chrysoperla kolthoffi (Navas, 1927) and Chrysoperla lucasina (Lacroix, 1912) occur (THIERRY et al. 1996). Chrysoperla carnea may have been involuntarily introduced, as it is supposed in Romania (THIERRY et al. 1996). We are still in debt to science with studies regarding the species status of Chrysoperla carnea in Hungary, so in present paper I do not deal with its nomenclature. The elucidation of this question seems to be a big problem because of the size of the collections; we keep 20,419 individuals believed to belong to Chrysoperla carnea in Somogy County Museum! The
