Aquatic crustacean fauna of the Dráva region in the Duna-Dráva National Park, Hungary László FORRÓ and Claude MEISCH Qualitative plankton samples were collected from various water bodies in the Drava region of the Duna-Dráva National Park. The sampling localities were dead arms, gravel pit lakes, canals, ponds, small temporary pools, samples were taken mainly from the littoral zones. Based on the results of this study and previous data 125 crustacean species were recorded from the area. In adittion to three Ostracoda species new to the Hungarian fauna several rare, interesting microcrustaceans (e. g. Bunops serricaudata, Wlassicsia pannonica, Paracyclops poppei, Metacy clops planus, Fabaeformiscandona balatonica etc.) were found. The microcrustacean fauna of the region is very rich in species. The most divers fauna was found in the Nagyberek at Darány (36 Cladocera and Copepoda species) and also very rich was the fauna in most dead arms and gravel pit lakes (species number of the two groups between 25-33).
