New data to the Flora of the Preservation Area of Bares, Hungary Magdolna JUHÄSZ-Tibor SZERDAHELYI-György SZOLLÁT Flora researches have been carried on by the authors within the preservation area since autumn 1981. The list of the higher plants of this area /565 species, JUHÁSZ 1983/ has been increased by 108 taxa. Two species /Teesdalia nudicaulis, Carex hartmannii/ considered as rarities in the Hungarian flora stand out from the listed plants. Dryopteris assimilis, Dryopteris pseudo-mas and Carex lasiocarpa are similarly rare in Hungary. Several well-known plants, e. g. Apium repens, Radiola linoides have probably disappeared because of drainages of the area in the last decades. Localities of 26 higher plants and the Sphagnum species are represented on the maps. Authors completed the chorological spectrum of the preservation area and compared with that of distribution of the Hungarian flora. The rates of cosmopolitan and circumpolar elements are much higher, anf those of the European, Eurasian, Mediterranean + submediterranean elements are a little bit higher in the flora of the preservation area than in the entire Hungarian flora. Continental /=Easteuropean-Asiatic/, Pontic, Pannonian and SE-European elements are represented by smaller numbers in the flora of the preservation area. Knowing the submedieterraenan/-subat^4.ntic/ character'of the climate and the phytogeographical area /Praeillyricum/, résulte of flora analysis corresponds with other data /cf. BORHIDI 1958/. From botanical aspects it is the "Nagyberek" which exists as a relict-like area remainded in its, most original conditions in the preservation area where besides the subatlantic-amphiatlantic species /e.g. Hydrocotyle vulgaris, Carex lasiocarpa, Carex echinata, Montia verna/ there are several species considered to the boreal ones /e.g. Betula pubescens, Carex hartmannii, Carex lasiocarpa/ in Hungary.
