First published data about the Empididae (Diptera) fauna of Juniper Woodland of Bares, Hungary MIHÁLY WEBER The elaboration of the Diptera of Juniper Woodland of Bares was starting in 1975^ S* TOTH published the first dipterologicál data of this region. The 21 collectings carried out between 1975 and 1979 yielded 116 éé and 112 oo Empidid specimens which are representing 28 species. One of them, Rhamphomyia (Pararhàmphomyia) dentàta OLDB. is new to the Hungarian fauna, 12 species have been known earlier from the area of Praeillyricum, 15 species are new to this region. Pour species are considered as frequent, these are: Hybos culiciformis, Hilara pilosa, H. pruinosa and Rhamphomyia ( Pararhàmphomyia) marginata. Two of them, Hilara pilosa and Rhamphomyia ( Pararhàmphomyia) merginata are rare in Hungary.
