Further material studied', authors have studied more than 800 specimens from the Holarctic Region. According to the description and study of the „Type material“ from the British Museum of Natural History, London, the species amandae represents an only slightly different morphological variation of populations Anthrenus (s. str.) pimpinellae pimp­­inellae (Fabricius, 1775) from Sicilia, south Spain and Morocco. Morphological charac­ters were illustrated by Kadej et al. (2007). The species A. amandae is a new junior synonym of Anthrenus (s. str.) pimpinellae pimpinellae (Fabricius, 1775).
