MAGYARORSZÁG HANGYADARAZSAI - VELVET ANTS OF HUNGARY (MUTILLIDAE) 101 with sparse, erect, long, pale setae forming weak band on posterior part of segments. Wings tinted by shades of brown, less transparent. Forewing with 2 cellula cubitalis and 1 cellula discoidalis (Fig. 152). 5-9 mm. Myrmilla (Myrmilla) calva (VILLERS , 1789) 16 (15) At least posterior half of head reddish brown or rusty red. Clypeus without apical process. Sternite 2 without, last sternite sometimes with carina. 17 (20) Mandibles narrow, parallel-sided, without pointed protrusion on inner side. 18 (19) Clypeus flat, without carina, only with two tubercles on anterior part. Metasomal sternite 1 with low, tooth-like tubercle or weak, medial, longitudinal carina. Head reddish brown with lighter spot behind eyes. Colour of flagellomeres varying from brownish red to black. Mesosoma yellowish red or brownish red, darker underneath. Head and legs with pale setae. Tergites 1-4 with band of sparse pale pubescence on posterior part. Forewing with 2 cellula cubitalis and 2 celulla discoidalis. 7-9 mm. [Myrmilla {Myrmilla) caucasica (KOLENATI, 1846)] 19 (18) Clypeus concave with lateral carina ending in two small tubercles. Mandibles tridentate, narrow, patallel-sided, apex truncate. Clypeus with narrow and deep excision in middle, with conspicuously long, pointed tubercle on both margins of excision. Tubercles behind base of antennae black and pointed. Head rusty red, areas around eyes, anterior part of frons, clypeus, mandibles, antennae, legs and mesosoma black. Posterior part of pronotum, mesonotum, scutellum, part of mesopleuron and larger part of propodeum rusty red. Dorsal side of body covered by sparse erect black setae. Vertex and bending down part of propodeum with paler setae. Setae on ventral side of body and legs greyish. Wings less transparent, „smoky". Forewing with 2 cellula cubitalis and 2 celulla discoidalis. 9-12 mm. Myrmilla (Myrmilla) erythrocephala (LATREILLE, 1792) 20 (17) Mandibles wide, with pointed protrusion on inner side. 21 (22) Pointed protrusion on inner side of mandibles situating about in middle. Wings transparent. Anterior margin of clypeus more or less straight with two tubercles of equal distance from each other and from base of mandibles. Mesosomal sternite 1 without medial longitudinal carina. Head brownish red, sparsely punctate, very shiny, but anterior part up to eyes and mandibles reddish brown. Antennae pale brown, mesosoma rusty brown, its underside chestnut-brown, metasoma and legs pitch-brown but tarsi lighter. Body covered by sparse erect long pale setae. No spots or bands of pale pubescence on tergites. Forewing with 2 cellula cubitalis and 2 cellula discoidalis. 8-10 mm. Myrmilla (Myrmilla) lezginica (RADOSZKOWSKI, 1885)
