100 NATURA SOMOGYIENSIS Mediterranean species, it is quite common in Hungary (Fig. 27). It has been collected in many localities, primarily on sandy ground. Males are frequently found on umbels of wild carrot (Daucus carota L.). Known period of collection: 15. IV-7. X. Distribution: Albania, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine, as well as the Near East (Syria). Smicromyrme (Erimyrme) sicanus (DE STEFANI, 1887) 12 (1) Winged forms, males. 13 (14) Mandibles without protrusion on outer side (3rd subgenus: Astomyrme SCHWARTZ, 1984). Head about 2x wider than long. Clypeus slightly convex, with 3 tubercles on anterior margin. Mandibles tridentate. Flagellomere 1 half as long as 2, wich as long as 3. Posterior part of propodeum slopeing steeply. Inner side of metacoxa with carina rounded posteriorly. Tergite 2 with densely set small pits, distance between them less than their diameter. Volsella not longer than penial valve. Cuspis long, surpassing inner process of parameron. Head and antennae black, or base of antennae rusty red. Pronotum, mesonotum, tegulae, scutellum and ante­rior part of propodeum rusty red. Head and legs with sparse pale setae. Posterior part of metasomal segments with weak band of pale pubescence. Mesonotum, tegulae and middle of metasomal tergite 2 with black setae, vertex also with red­dish setae. Wings transparent, apex of wings somewhat darker (Fig. 185). 9 mm. Smicromyrme (Astomyrme) pilisensis MUSKOVITS ET LELEJ, 2010 14 (13) Mandibles with protrusion on outer side. 15 (16) Mandibles tridentate (Fig. 115), clypeus concave. Volsella reaching or surpass­ing inner process of parameron (4th subgenus: Erimyrme LELEJ, 1985). Clypeus concave, with two small teeth on anterior margin. Mandibles con­spicuously widening from middle toward base. Flagellomere 2 twice as long as 1, and somewhat longer than 3. Propodeum steeply sloping backward. Inner side of metacoxa with carina not ending in small denticle. Metasomal segment 1 shorter than its maximum width. Sternite 1 with medial longitudinal carina. Head, meta­soma and mesosoma black, prothorax, tegulae, scutellum, propodeum and upper parts of mesopleuron rusty red. Antennae entirely black or tinged reddish brown basally. Frons, vertex, mesonotum and tegulae sparsely covered by black or brown setae. Tergites without distinct, clearly visible spot or band of pubescence, only posterior part of segments with denser, erect pale setae. Forewings weakly dark, veins brown (Fig. 189). 5-10 mm. Smicromyrme (Erimyrme) sicanus (DE STEFANI, 1887) 16 (15) Mandibles bidentate, clypeus more or less flat. Cuspis usually short, barely reaching inner process of parameron, without paracuspis at base. 17 (20) Anterior margin of clypeus with two denticles or elevations (2nd subgenus: Smicromyrme THOMSON, 1870).
