Rozner István-Rozner György: Data to the leaf-beetle fauna of Macedonia (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

Processing of the collected material The collected material was processed by the authors. Detailed evaluations of the collections from the Republic of Macedonia are given int he species list. Checklist of Eumolpinae, Chrysomelinae, Alticinae, Hispinae and Cassidinae (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) in Republic of Macedonia was published by GRUEV (1998). It lists 166 species of 5 subfamilies of the Chrysomelidae. VIG (2002) published data of Mr. Podlussány Attila's Chrysomelidae collection, deposited in the Savaria Museum (Szombathely). As we have collaborated with Mr. Podlussány on 5 above mentioned collecting trips, data in this article is relevant to that publication. The results of Mr. Podlussány's collections from the relevant areas are: 48 species from Bulgaria (Pirin Mts.), 35 species from Greece, 38 species from the Republic of Macedonia (2 species: Longitarsus albineus and Psylliodes briscouti representing new distribution records). In trhis publication we discuss 213 species in 61 genera of 11 subfamilies. Data and abbreviations of the species list Taxa and abbreviated names of countries are printed in bold, counties and other larger area- units (e. g. Pirin Mts.) and names of food plants are in italics. Collecting localities and other relevant data, such as altitudes, time of collecting and occasionally the collectors' names are in plain print. Collecting was carried out by the Rozner Family. marks notes relevant to individual species.
