ZANKAI Different water bodies of Somogy county were analized and 343 taxons were determined in them. 12 percentage of all taxons were very frequent, because they were collected in different habitats and they were found in large numbers. The species of the families of Brachionidae and Notommatidae were found in the largest numbers. 27 percentage of Rotatoria taxons were frequent and 61 percentage of all taxons were rare and thin. The large ratio of rare species was due to the lack of the research of special habitats. The number of species can be significantly increased by systematical research of the different habitats and the results of the research would give more information on the changes of water quality of the different water bodies as well.
