SZENTENDREI TÁR AT fO , Szentendrei Képtár 198S október—november w A Szentendrei Tárlatot kétévenkét rendezik meg a város főterén lévő egykori kereskedőházakból kialakított Szentendrei Képtárban. Feladata hírt adni, tájékoztatni, felmérési lehetőséget kínálni az érdeklődőnek arról a sokszínű, szuverén pályaképeket és színvonalas átlagot egyaránt produkáló művészi tevékenységről, mely ezt a kivételes (különös) helyzetben lévő kisvárost (művészeti centrumát) az elmúlt fél évszázadban jellemezte. A posztnagybányai festői ízlésen nevelkedett idős mesterek mellett a sajátosan magyar konstruktivizmust megteremtő, szakmailag, etikailag etalont jelentő Barcsay, az általa kijelölt úton a maga világát megépítő Deim Pál munkái szomszédságában a „szentendrei művészet" ismerői számára jól megférnek az időközben „felnőtté" vált Vajda Stúdió-sok. Statikus, megállapodott oeuvre-ok, mozgásban lévő, a már egyszer elfogadtatott képletet átíró, olykor attól gyökereiben elforduló műegyüttesek, konzervatív érem és nem konzervatív mobil, új festőiség és (pályakezdő művésztől) csaknem ortodoxnak számító egzakt tiszta konstruktív táblakép, novellisztikus attitűd és szikár, elemző magatartásmód. . . Az 1 985. évi Szentendrei Tárlat az imént vázolt szélsőségeket tükrözi. Másra nem is vállalkozhat. Állapotok (személyes és az európai ókortárs művészet mozgásait regisztráló általános állapotok) tükre. A tárlatlátogató tájékozódhat. Egy — a világ dolgaira fogékony — művészcsoport friss művei hozzásegíthetik akár a mai magyar művészet megértéséhez is. Szentendre has a prominent place among the art centres of Hungary. In this small Baroque atmosphere town situated less than 20 kilometers from the capital, the first artist group was formed at the end of the twenties. Those artists were the representatives of postimpressionist traditions based on the sight, the landscape. At the beginning of the thirties we find in the town Jenő Barcsay, the schoolfounder of characteristic Hungarian constructivism, later Lajos Vajda and Dezső Korniss, who had been seeking for fine art forms according to Bartók's musical program. Today nearly hundred artists live in this small town. This exhibition tries to show the freshest, most actual works, it would like to inform about the present situation of art in Szentendre (and may be that of the contemporary Hungarian art). Artists working here cannot be put in one style trend. The tendencies that became strong in the thirtiesfourties are still alive (constructivism, surrealistic seeing, sight painting), but we can find examples for art trends spread all over Europe today, some times their new conceptions ^new sensibility, self-mythologies). There are some serigraphias shown at the exhibition that were made in Szentendre Graphic Workshop known abroad too. (Its works were on show in Basel, Madrid, Knoxville and other places). The exhibition becomes more colourful by the newest works of sculptures, coin-artists from Szentendre. So because of variety of styles and attitudes the visitors of Szentendre Show 1985 can get a concentrated picture about the main lines of contemporary Hungarian art. DR.
