Metarationality “Meta rationality” has been issued as a theory by Beppe Bonetti (Rovato, 1951) in 1982. He uses this word, which he has created with the intention to give name and form to a new way of seeing the world and as a consequence to a new way of working in the arts: Meta rationality is Order and Disorder Logical and illogical Rule and chance Construction and destruction Symmetry and asymmetry Rhythm and arrhythmia Harmonious and disharmonious Meta rationality puts Disorder into order Illogical into logical Chance into rule Destruction into construction Asymmetry into symmetry Arrhythmia into rhythm Disharmony into harmony Meta rationality means Knowing the rule but breaking it Looking at the world with crossed eyes Searching for reason into non reason Distrusting instinct, but also reason Not saying “It’s rational”, because it could be irrational Not saying „Down with the full moon“ Not saying ... not saying... and saying... and saying... 27
